Session Sharing

Share read-only links to your analysis sessions with collaborators.

Overview

Session sharing lets you create read-only links to your Omics-OS Cloud analysis sessions. Recipients can view the full canvas layout, chat history, and visualizations without being able to modify anything. Share links are time-limited and revocable, so you stay in control of who sees your work and for how long.

All shared views strip sensitive metadata (user IDs, tool call internals, agent configuration) before rendering. Recipients see only the scientific content: messages, plots, data tables, and canvas layout.

How to Share

Open the Share dialog

Click the Share button in the chat header while viewing your session.

Choose an expiry

Select how long the link stays active: 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Longer durations are available on higher tiers.

Click Create Share Link. The URL is generated instantly. Copy it to your clipboard and send it to your collaborator.

The dialog lists all active share links for the session. Revoke any link at any time by clicking the trash icon next to it.

What Recipients See

When a collaborator opens a share link, they land on a read-only view of your session:

  • Canvas layout is fully preserved, including node positions and edge connections
  • Chat history displays all messages exchanged during the session
  • Static nodes (notes, info cards, protein structures) render normally
  • Interactive controls (chat input, file upload, agent selection) are disabled
  • A visible read-only banner indicates the session cannot be edited

Plot nodes and data table nodes show placeholder states in the shared view since the underlying data arrays are not transferred. The canvas layout and structure remain intact.

Tips

Revoke early if needed. If you shared a link by mistake, open the Share dialog and revoke it immediately. The link stops working within seconds.

Use short expiry for quick reviews. A 1-hour link is ideal for a quick look during a meeting. Use 7-day or 30-day links for ongoing collaboration.
